Community Advisory Board

On behalf of all the staff at Surf Expo, we are stoked to present our Surf Expo Community Advisory Board (CAB)!

Members of our curated Board will play a vital role in helping shape the future of Surf Expo. Their experience and insight will help us better understand how market trends are impacting the industry and how our team can work to alleviate potential roadblocks for attendees to improve the experience at Surf Expo through impactful strategy, conversation, and implementation.

Advisory Board members represent a cross section of businesses, job functions and the industry categories found at Surf Expo. A diversity of perspective is an important aspect of the Board’s function. Varied experiences based on show category, tenure at Surf Expo, gender, geographic location and other qualities are important we when selected prospective Advisory Board members.  The Advisory Board is non-voting and does not engage in decision-making related to show personnel or internal policy-development.

The number of CAB members will be 13 (divided among Exhibitors, Retailers, Sales Reps and an Ombudsman position). Advisory Board members will serve 2- or 3-year terms with the possibility of renewal for additional terms based on their interest and involvement, at the discretion of the program planning committee. Staggered terms will allow for a continuation of momentum for the group.
