ORLANDO, FLA., May 17, 2018 — Celebrating the waterman lifestyle from saltwater to the sand and surf, Surf Expo’s Bluewater category is attracting top outdoor brands and retailers to the show set for September 6-8, 2018.
Some of the Bluewater exhibitors for the September show include Salt Life, Lucky Rod, Dirty Hooker Fishing Gear, Bimini Bay Outfitters, Hell’s Bay Boatworks, Heybo Outdoors, Hooked Soul, LC Industries, Inc. (Lewis N. Clark), OtterBox/LifeProof (Otter Products, LLC), Sunday Afternoons, Waters Bluff Clothing Company, and Wave Life.
Because Bluewater is an exclusive and limited category, exhibitors who participate in this section will have a heightened focus on their brand.
“We wanted to come to Surf Expo and exhibit here, because everybody here loves salt water,” said Chris Peterson, president and owner of Hell’s Bay Boatworks, who participated in Bluewater’s debut in January 2018. “We’re a saltwater fishing boat company, and now Surf Expo has a Bluewater section that really celebrates the coastal lifestyle.”
“Bluewater is a platform for inshore and offshore brands to be exposed to thousands of buyers from around the world who might not be aware of their products, providing an opportunity to expand their customer base in the surf watersports and beach lifestyle arenas,” said Kenneth Andres, Surf Expo sales manager.
Retailers also see the value in learning about what Bluewater has to offer for their customers. Bluewater offers products that will pique the interest of customers who shop at surf, beach and resort shops. These shops also have the opportunity to attract new customers by offering inshore/offshore apparel & accessories, while also introducing those customers to like-minded surf brands.
“Here [at Surf Expo], you have customers from all over the country who love to fish, surf and dive, and we service that whole customer base,” added Jeff Stillwell, president of Salt Life.
With the addition of Bluewater, Surf Expo has blended these two worlds under one roof in order to showcase the like-minded coastal lifestyle that is celebrated among sand, surf and water sports brands and enthusiasts.
Bluewater is bringing a lot of excitement to the September show, including some of the most celebrated outdoor brand exhibitors, appearances from popular outdoor sportsmen and influencers, and product activations on Demo Day, in addition to attracting a wider audience of outdoor retailers and attendees.
